Who am I and what is the reason behind this blog?

Hello there!

It’s hard to believe that I’m actually taking this first step into the great unknown. Like so many people, I’m full of ideas and strive to turn them into reality. It’s always exciting to launch a new project and, with full enthusiasm, share my experiences and opinions with the world… and who knows, maybe someone will stumble upon this blog.

But what exactly am I doing here? In my blog posts, I want to share valuable things with you about travel and self-development topics. I believe these two subjects are closely connected, like Yin and Yang. Traveling is the key to your growing self – you encounter new perspectives, become more self-confident, and more mindful of your surroundings.
And yes, traveling can be incredibly fun, but it also comes with a certain fear. We’re sometimes not even aware of it, but when we venture into the unknown and just jump into cold water, it’s often not as bad as we imagined. A new path opens up whenever you leave your comfort zone and try new things – whether it’s traveling to foreign cultures, trying new hobbies, or developing a positive self-image.

Want change? Then be the catalyst and take your life into your own hands! That’s exactly what I want this blog to convey. There are so many beautiful things waiting for you out there, and you just need to be ready to grab them. Here, I want to introduce you to parts of my life that have either shaped me deeply or led me to insights I’d like to share with you! I also want to touch on topics that interest me right now and analyze them in a factual manner.

But enough about my motivation – let me give you a brief insight into my life:
There’s not much to tell about me. I’m a 24-year-old guy from northern Germany, working as an educator in a kindergarten, and I have the big desire to turn thoughts into reality – like this blog. That’s basically it about me. But if you're still interested in a little backstory, just keep reading. :)

I started writing my own blog in November 2024. The idea came to me one day during my travels through the Philippines. Why not share these beautiful moments with the world? Maybe a positive echo will arise somewhere in the vastness of the internet that will move readers like you. Many people around me have said that I’m being reckless and shouldn’t be traveling alone – but why wait for someone else? Our life is so short, and we will all die eventually – some sooner, some later. But the important thing is, what do we do with our time here on Earth? Do what makes you feel alive. And that’s exactly what I did. In 2023, I booked my very first flight to Costa Rica to meet people I had only known online. "Are you crazy? You don’t even know if the other person could be a murderer!" – that and much more were said to me. If I’m honest, I also had my doubts and was especially afraid because it was my first flight ever… to a foreign country… 6,000 km away from home. But as it turned out later, this trip changed my life entirely. I will cover the story of this journey in a future post.

However, the purpose of this blog doesn’t only come from sharing these magical moments; it should also invite you to take a leap over your own shadows and venture into the unknown. We often hold ourselves back because of our surroundings, convincing ourselves that we can’t do this or that because it seems impossible. But impossible is only what YOU consider impossible. So, much of what I want to talk about is self-development. How do I live my life right? What can I improve? Of course, I’m not a motivational coach, and I never intend to become one, but I want to give you positive impulses and thought-provoking ideas that should accompany you in what you do and who you are. Yes, I know this all sounds a bit over the top, but I think you’ve already understood the main idea.

Respect if you’ve made it this far to read!
Since you're already here, why not grab a cup of coffee and read about all the exciting things I have to share? I’m happy you’re here! 😊
